This past weekend I attempted to roast my own coffee beans, in search for that perfect cup. Well, not really, but I wanted to try it anyway.
I followed some instructions I found on the internet. It acutally turned out ok! According to the internet, I could use a popcorn popper. I found some green beans at the coffee nazi in richmond. He said to roast the beans so they look like this:

If I only roasted them to the colour of the singled out bean, the coffee would taste like piss. Ok then. I got out all the equipment:

Measured out some not so nice smelling guatemala antigua:

And set to work. Lo and behold - off comes the chaff. Neat!

Smokey.... oops!

The coffee tasted pretty good. You are supposed to let it sit for a day, but I tried some right away. A light roast, but tasty! The next 2 batches were done outside, and it worked alot better. The only bit of advice, don't mix the batches, and have a lid on the colander!

Tilt shifting is a really cool effect, and can be done with a camera lens or fancy photo software.
Basically, it changes the focus of a picture to make the content seem miniaturized. Its worthwhile to look at some good examples on the web.
Anyways, I found this website recently which does the effect for you. Try it out!

Well, Adra and I are trying to update some small games I made to cross-platform java games... Look for a new games section sometime soon! Sugar Snails, Black Magic, Asteroids, and a yet unnamed space title.
On another note, home life has started to get busy.. with all the stuffs and goings on that are currently going on. As if anyone reading this site doesn't already know. Anyways.
I am also thinking of getting into some simple microcontroller programming. If anyone has a project they need help on, let me know!
Ramble ramble ramble, I should go be productive...
